Things Change Part One

Summer Part One

There was only a week left of the summer and Will was starting to worry. Marcus had graduated high school that year and was going off to college in the fall. With Will being younger than Marc that meant they’d be apart for most of the year if not longer. Will frowned and shook his head, he was being silly. The two had been going out the whole time marc was in high school so just because Marcus was going to college didn’t mean that would change… right? Thinking about it made Will even more upset; high school relationships had a pretty low success rate especially over long periods of time That thought didn’t give Will much hope for their future, it didn’t help that Marc had been acting funny lately. Whenever Will wanted to hang out marc was always busy, it had even been a while since they’d had sex. Perhaps this was marc’s way of getting ready end it with Will and just the thought of it made Will start to cry.

Marc was way too stressed trying to get ready for college only a week away and not only that but he had to do something about Will too. He’d been neglecting the poor ginger lately and hoped what he was going to do would clear the whole thing up. It wasn’t too hard to find Will at the park but when marc did find him he was surprised to find Will crying.

“William? What’s wrong? Did something happen?”
Will quickly wiped his eyes and smiled up at marc like nothing happened.

”yeah marc I’m fine, don’t worry about me Kay?” Marc nodded and sat down next to Will.

“I know I’ve been busy lately and I’m sorry I haven’t had time for you but that’s what I want to talk to you about.” Will’s heart skipped in his chest just waiting for what Marc was going to say next and got ready for the worst.

“It’s going to be really hard for us to keep this up while I’m away at college. Long distance relationships just don’t work…” He paused trying to find the right words but Will couldn’t wait for it and stood up abruptly.

“I get it Marc, it’s fine. I kinda figured something like this would happen anyway…” his voice was shaky and he started to walk away from Marc…

I’ve been thinking about how the two of them were going to deal with Marc’s leaving and this started to come out… It’s only part one of two though so don’t get discouraged… it might not end badly… perhaps… but I’m still working on part two! I hope to have it up in a couple of days so please watch for it!
